Make and Take: Holiday Gift Ideas

Thursdays, December 1st through 22nd; 6-9pm

Come in to create some fast and easy holiday gifts! Each week staff will provide the pattern and instruction for a new gift idea. All projects are designed for beginning sewers and are a great way to learn new sewing techniques and sewing machine features. Stop by the store each week in December to see the next week’s project on display, sign up and pick up a supply list.

French Braid Tree Skirt Pt. 1

French Braid Tree Skirt-Confident Beginner

Tuesdays, November 22nd & 29th; 6-9pm
Instructor: Annette Coggins
Fee: $42
Make a tree skirt from 10 basic braids that diminish in width from bottom to top. This pattern can also work as a table topper if you sew the last seam shut and appliqué a circle over the center opening.

RainTree’s 2011 Block of the Month

 

RainTree’s 2011 Block of the Month (BOM) will start April 2rd; 10-10:30am
This year’s BOM is the Tonga Rhapsody Quilt pattern by Wing & a Prayer Design and features 12 different Timeless Treasures Tonga Batiks. Each month you will receive the pattern and fabric to complete a block. At the end of the 12 months you will have received the fabrics for the entire 96”x106” finished quilt.  Each month meet at RTQ on the first Saturday from 10-10:30 for an overview/demo of the block and bring your previous month’s completed block for a chance at door prizes. The cost is $23.95/month.
