Jacquard Ribbon Trim - named for the man who invented the loom on which this trim is made - Joseph Marie Jacquard (France 1732-1854). Jacquard trims nowadays are woven using many different materials including rayon, polyester, metallic, cotton, blends and on rare occasion silk.
